The 2027 MTSEF will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2027! Stay tuned for many changes to the fair (including a full website refresh) coming soon! Please note the substantial changes from previous years to the timeline below. Early awareness — especially around the December registration deadline and SRC pre-approval requirements — is essential for a successful project submission. MTSEF remains committed to helping all students be prepared to present their projects at our fair.
Fair timeline:
o 8/15: Online Registration Opens (new platform!)
o 12/4: Student Registration Deadline and all SRC pre-approval paperwork due
o 1/8: SRC Pre-approval Paperwork responded to with a 2-week deadline for edits
o 1/31: All Paperwork Due (except abstracts)
o 2/15: SRC will respond to all projects with issues
o 2/28: Revised Submission Deadline (all paperwork must be corrected)
o 3/26: Digital Poster, Abstract, Quad Chart (for those wishing to be considered for ISEF) Upload (PDF)
o 4/3: Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair and Awards Ceremony at Vanderbilt University
