2027 Fair Highlights

The 2027 Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair (MTSEF) brings many changes -- most importantly a change in location to Vanderbilt University! This year's fair will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2027 from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. We are hosting our awards ceremony on the day of the fair this year. See a complete schedule of the fair day below.

We have also adjusted our SRC review and registration timelines to better help with a smooth approval process for all projects. Please note these new earlier deadlines on the schedule provided below.

MySciFair is the new registration platform for the fair! Students, teachers, parents, and mentors can all make accounts to help track student progress. All registrations must take place within this platform and students must register by December 4th, 2026.

Teachers' accounts require verification, which will be completed by a member of the MTSEF SRC following teacher training. A PDF of the slides and webinar recording of the teacher's training can be found on the Teachers page, which covers more important changes for this year's fair.

For this year's fair, all students will submit a PDF of their poster to MySciFair prior to fair day. High school projects will have the option to submit a Quad Chart and/or 2-minute video summary.
