MTSEF Participant Named to JIC Top 300
Congratulations to Anisha Nachnani who was named to the Top 300 for the 2026 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge! Her project, selected from 1,997 submitted nationally, was entitled Plastic Beneath the Surface: Quantifying the Impact of Soil Microplastics on Early Plant Development. Anisha competed at MTSEF as a 6th grader where she earned 1st place in her category and a nomination to the Junior Innovators Challenge. Her selection into the Top 300 was the first for MTSEF in over a decade. The Top 30 Finalists, who earn a trip to Washington DC, will be announced on September 16.
